Jaguars News: At least Calvin Ridley was at practice
The Jacksonville Jaguars are well underway in their training camp. Pads are on, everyone is there, and the season coming up is one of great excitement.
A lot of talent is in this organization now and big things could be coming this season if they reach their true potential.
If all goes according to plan, it won't be long before people see them as a legit Super Bowl contender. They have a quarterback and a coach that are capable of getting it done so now there are just a few things to figure out.
Of course, through it all, the most important thing is seeing everyone stay as healthy as possible. They had decent health in 2022 and they surprisingly won the AFC South Division and a playoff game.
The Jacksonville Jaguars need everyone healthy and playing well now.
In order to take big steps this year, they need to have health once again. Injuries happen in football and they are going to happen to the Jaguars but they need to be good at dealing with it.
Calvin Ridley has been dealing with a touch of an injury as his toe has been an issue. He did show up to practice on Wednesday though which is great news. He didn't have the best showing on this day but the important thing is that he is there.
Between being a little rusty (he missed the entire 2022 season and was traded halfway through anyway) and his current toe issue, he deserves some time to get right. As mentioned before, at least he is out there. Ridley is giving it his all and that much is clear.
With guys like Christian Kirk, Zay Jones, Evan Engram, and Travis Etienne amongst others around, Ridley should have no problem fitting in. Trevor Lawrence is very lucky to have this complement of weapons. Hopefully, he can take advantage.
Another thing to hope for is the long-term health of Ridley. He is a fantastic wide receiver and should be a difference-maker as long as he is on the field. The Jaguars need him to be at his best. He will certainly get there soon enough.
