The Jacksonville Jaguars got good news ahead of their Week 5 matchup against the Indianapolis Colts. One day before the game, the team posted on social media that the two-time Pro Bowl defensive end had cleared the concussion protocol.

Hines-Allen left Week 4 with a concussion, but head coach Doug Pederson sounded optimistic about his chances of suiting up for the divisional game when he met with the local media Friday.

Similarly, Pederson said linebacker Devin Lloyd and defensive back Darnell Savage were trending toward playing. Like Hines-Allen, they got the questionable designation for Week 5. The former is dealing with a knee injury and the latter is recovering from a quad injury. On the other hand, the head coach thinks tight end Evan Engram is unlikely to play and will probably need to wait at least one more week to get back in the fold.

If Lloyd isn't good to go, Chad Muma will start in his place, and if Savage sits out the game, rookie Jarrian Jones will fill in for him.

Heading into the game, Jacksonville has elevated linebacker Tanner Muse and safety Matthew Jackson from the practice squad to the active roster via standard elevation. Muse signed with the Jags not long after safety Andrew Wingard suffered a knee injury, and Jackson was brought in after cutdown day.

On the opposite sideline, there's a strong chance the Colts will be without quarterback Anthony Richardson. He was listed as questionable but was downgraded to doubtful Saturday. If he can't go, Joe Flacco will get the nod behind center.

Whether Richardson plays or not, Indianapolis has already ruled out running back Jonathan Taylor, cornerback Kenny Moore II, and defensive end Kwity Paye. Center Ryan Kelly and right tackle Braden Smith are also listed as questionable, so the Colts might not be at full strength in the offensive trenches. If that's the case, that's a matchup Jacksonville cannot afford to waste.

• Kwity Paye, DL
• Blake Freeland, OT
• Ryan Kelly, C
• Jonathan Taylor, RB
• Anthony Richardson, QB
• Kenny Moore, CB
• Anthony Gould, WR

Heading into the game, the Jaguars are a 2.5-point favorite. It will be 78 degrees Fahrenheit with a 66 percent chance of precipitation, meaning that it could rain.

The Colts lead the all-time series 27-19 but they got swept in 2023. Moreover, the last time they won a game at EverBank Stadium was in 2014. When you factor in that the Jaguars will be wearing the Prowler throwbacks and will be honoring Tom Coughlin, they'll be incentivized to hand Indianapolis their third loss of the season.
