It's already October, and four NFL games are already in the books. The Jacksonville Jaguars, for their part, will welcome the Indianapolis Colts at EverBank Stadium in Week 5. While they have a few things going for them, the weather could also play a role in the divisional bout.

Fresh off a loss to the Houston Texans, the Jags are 0-4 and looking for their first win of the season. They rank 29th in points scored and 30th in points surrendered but they've flashed enough the past four game to make you think that they have a chance to beat Indy.

For starters, Jacksonville has a pair of dynamic running backs in Tank Bigbsy and Travis Etienne. The duo is currently averaging 5.7 yards per carry, which is good for second-best in the league. While they popped up on the Week 5 injury report, they're both good to go. Moreover, the offensive line has seemingly hit their stride. After giving up 11 sacks in the first three games, they allowed just one in the loss to Houston.

Add the fact that the defense has mostly held its own (with the exception of Week 3), and the Jaguars should feel good about their chances of disposing of Indianapolis. Having said that, they'll also need to be prepared for a weather forecast that could have an impact of the game.

The weather could give the Jaguars a slight edge vs. the Colts in Week 5

With Fall inching closer, temperatures are starting to drop. In Week 5, it will be 78 degrees Fahrenheit with 82 percent humidity. That's not necessarily bad, the issue is that there will be a 66 percent chance of precipitation, and likely showers are expected.

If it ends up raining, passing conditions will be less than ideal, and the Jaguars won't be able to effectively throw the ball. That's where the backfield tandem of Travis Etienne and Tank Bigsby come in.

Before the game, the Colts ruled out defensive end Kwity Paye. On top of that, they're without star defensive tackle DeForest Buckner, who's currently on Injured Reserve. While Indy still has run-stuffer Grover Stewart in the fold, the Jags should be incentivized to lean on Etienne and Bigsby heavily.

On the other hand, Indianapolis will be without running back Jonathan Taylor, who's dealing with an ankle injury, so they may have trouble getting the run going. If that wasn't enough, quarterback Anthony Richardson is questionable for the game with an oblique injury.

Veteran Joe Flacco has taken most of the first-team reps in practice, so nobody will bat an eye if he gets the starting nod behind center. If he does, Jacksonville cannot afford to take him lightly.

Sure, Flacco is the backup, but he beat the Jags last season as a member of the Cleveland Brown. In fact, that win propelled his candidacy for Comeback Player of the Year.

The bottom line is that even if the weather isn't great in Week 5, the Jacksonville Jaguars have several things going for them. It will be up to them to seize the opportunity.
