There is a chance that the Jacksonville Jaguars are one of the best teams in the NFL this season. The AFC is stacked but that shouldn’t stop them from having another great year again in 2023.

Of course, everyone associates this team with their franchise quarterback, Trevor Lawrence. They should be focused on him because he is truly amazing.

Lawrence also has really good weapons around him now which should enhance his ability to be productive even more. As he continues to grow, so will the team.

As good as it is to have a tremendous offense led by a great quarterback, there are more elements to football. The Jaguars didn’t have this amazing defense in 2022 but it was good enough to help them get into the playoffs and win a round.

The Jacksonville Jaguars still have some important work to do in 2023.

Without a great defense around him, a quarterback can’t truly take the next steps in terms of development or getting the team over the hump. Luckily, the group should be improved by a lot in 2023.

There is still a chance for them to improve further as well. They were visited by Jadeveon Clowney on Sunday which is very interesting. He'd be a great fit to help this defense take a step.

Getting to the opposing quarterback is very important in the NFL. It is almost as important as having a good quarterback yourself. Adding a three time Pro Bowl veteran like Clowney could really help them in the long run.

With some of the young studs that Jacksonville has still learning the NFL game, Clowney could really be a good mentor for them. As a former number one overall pick, he has a lot to give.

Clowney has also paid a visit to the Baltimore Ravens who have a good defense already. A contract doesn't sound imminent but the Jaguars should be doing what they can to get it done.
