The Jacksonville Jaguars are the only NFL team that's yet to win a game this season. But despite their struggles, head coach Doug Pederson isn't ready to hit the panic button.

Pederson met with the local media ahead of the matchup against the Indianapolis Colts and touched on several topics, including whether he had lost the Jags locker room. During the exchange, he was asked if he saw any similarities between now and the 2022 team. That year, they managed to make the playoffs after a 3-6 start.

"Nobody wants to be 0-4. Nobody wants to be where we are. We feel like we should be further along," Pederson said. "And I'm just sitting there thinking back to that time where there was a play, kind of very similar. It was a kind of a play here, a played there, a missed assignment here, a missed assignment there. That just kept us from either finishing a drive or finishing games back then."

Pederson continued, "I think it's kind of the same thing now, and it just takes one. It takes one takeaway, it takes one touchdown drive, it takes one stop. It's whatever, whatever it is. It just takes one and then when you get one, one win that can turn into into multiple wins, which it did back then."

After their rough start to 2022, the Jags went on to win six of their last seven games to win the AFC South and qualify for the postseason. This makes you think that maybe they can bounce back this season even if the odds are against them.

As J.P. Shadrick of the team's official website pointed out, just one team has managed to make the playoffs after a 0-4 start dating back to 1990.

Working in the Jaguars' favor is that they'll welcome the Indianapolis Colts in Week 5. While they aren't doing great, they haven't lost to their divisional foes at EverBank since 2014. Moreover, they'll be honoring Tom Coughlin, who'll be inducted into the Pride of the Jaguars.

Add the fact that Jacksonville will be wearing the Prowler uniforms, and it should be incentivized to get its first win of the year. And if you want to watch the bout, here's how you can do it.

Jaguars vs. Colts game details for Week 5:

Location: EverBank Stadium
Kickoff time: 1 p.m. ET
Last regular season matchup: 2023, Week 6 (Jaguars won)

One of the few bright spots for Jacksonville in 2023 is that they swept the Colts. Moreover, they have a 13-10 record at home against their division foes. On the other hand, Indy leads the all-time series 27-20.

Currently, the Jags are a 2.5-point favorite, so this is projected to be a close one. If they can play like they did against the Texans without letting mistakes undo their performance, they should have a shot at earning their first victory of the season, and who knows? Maybe even start a winning streak.
