Notable reunion No. 1 in 2023 - Jacksonville Jaguars vs. Kansas City Chiefs

This is going to be one of the most exciting games in the Jaguars' calendar this year. They had the chance to beat the eventual Super Bowl Champions twice and they fell short both times but that's not the only reason this will be must-watch TV.

Doug Pederson is still looking for his first win as the head coach of the Jags against mentor Andy Reid. He told the media before their playoff bout that they've both different but Reid was a big influence for him. Although Pederson won a Super Bowl first, Reid is the best coach in the NFL right now, so it would be huge if the pupil can beat the teacher on this one.

Another reunion that will take place when these two playoff contenders face off is between the Jaguars and Jawaan Taylor, who made 66 consecutive starts at right tackle in Jacksonville since being drafted in 2019 but is now with the Chiefs.

The Jags didn't have enough cap space to bring back Taylor but the Chiefs didn't hesitate to fork out lots of cash to make sure Patrick Mahomes stays protected. If Mahomes has a good game against Jacksonville, Taylor will probably be a big reason why.

But wait, the Jaguars will encounter another familiar face in Blaine Gabbert when they place their Chiefs. Sure, the former first-round pick won't be on the field unless Mahomes is out but it was still worth noting that the former Mizzou Tiger has carved a niche as a backup after falling flat with the Jags.

Although things could change, this figures to be one of the most exciting games on the Jaguars' schedule, and getting a win would solidify their place as one of the top teams in the league.
