The Jacksonville Jaguars will face off against the New York Jets in Week 15. Aside from being an 11.5-point favorite, they're getting healthier at the best possible time of the season, so they should have a favorable chance of coming out of MetLife Stadium with their fifth win of the year. Having said that, one thing stood out about their initial injury report for the game.
Trevor Lawrence was listed as limited with an ankle injury on Wednesday's report. However, he didn't appear to have any restrictions in practice and didn't wear a brace of any kind when he met with the local media later that day, according to Michale DiRocco of ESPN. This is a long-winded way to say that No. 16's inclusion might've been cautionary. That's seemingly the case based on the most recent update.
Trevor Lawrence appears on the Jaguars injury report (but shouldn't be a reason for concern)
Trevor Lawrence participated in practice, apparently without limitations Thursday. John Shipley of Sports Illustrated noted that he didn't see anything out of the ordinary.

Similarly, Jamal St. Cyr of News4Jax posted several clips of No. 16, and he his ankle looked just fine.

Based on what beat writers are posting on social media, Lawrence's appearance on the injury report shouldn't be a reason for concern. The fifth-year quarterback should be ready to go against the Jets.
Aside from Lawrence, wide receiver Parker Washington (hip), left guard Ezra Cleveland (shoulder), left tackle Walker Little (concussion), defensive end B.J. Green (knee), and safety Andrew Wingard (concussion) had the limited designation Wednesday.

The Jaguars could sit Trevor Lawrence vs. the NY Jets if needed
If Trevor Lawrence needs to rest, the Jaguars could easily sit him against the NY Jets. After all, the current coaching staff has shown caution when it comes to injuries. Throughout the year, the Jags have avoided thrusting players back on the field if they're not 100 percent. However, it probably won't come to that in Week 14.
In fact, Walker Little and Andrew Wingard have a bigger chance of sitting out the Jets game than Lawrence. Both remain in concussion protocol. Cole Van Lanen and Antonio Johnson filled in for them at left tackle and safety, respectively, so Jacksonville can overcome their potential absence.
Similarly, the team did just fine against the Indianapolis Colts without Parker Washington because Brian Thomas Jr., Jakobi Meyers, and Tim Patrick all came through.
Ultimately, the Jaguars need to rest their players as much as they can if they want to finish the season strong, but it's unlikely that they'll hold out Trevor Lawrence against New York.
