The Jacksonville Jaguars had no trouble trouncing the Indianapolis Colts despite the fact that Parker Washington didn't suit up. That was mostly the result of the rest of the wide receiver corps stepping up. Tim Patrick, Brian Thomas Jr., and Jakobi Meyers all made plays in the 36-19 win.

That doesn't mean the Jags didn't miss Washington, quite to opposite. If the offense was operating at full steam against Indy, imagine just how good Jacksonville will be once the third-year wideout is back in the mix. That's why the recent injury report offers an encouraging update ahead of the Week 15 matchup against the New York Jets.

The Jaguars listed Parker Washington as limited (but the arrow is pointing up)

The Jaguars listed Parker Washington as limited Wednesday. He suffered a hip injury in the win over the Tennessee Titans and sat out the win over the Colts.

Surprisingly, Trevor Lawrence also popped up on the injury report with an ankle injury. Like Washington, he got the limited designation. Michael DiRocco of ESPN noted that he didn't have any kind of wrap during practice, so this may turn out to be a non-issue.

Aside from Washington and Lawrence, tight end Quintin Morris (ankle), left guard Ezra Cleveland (shoulder), left tackle Walker Little (concussion), and safety Andrew Wingard (concussion) were also limited in practice.

It's worth pointing out that all 53 players on the active roster were in practice, with left guard Ezra Cleveland being the only one wearing a non-contact jersey, according to Mia O'Brien of ESPN Radio.

For the sake of transparency, Washington only missed one day of practice last week, but he still was a long shot to suit up against the Colts. The night before the game, Ian Rapoport of NFL Media broke the news that the former Penn State Nittany Lion was unlikely to play. Looking back, this was the course of action, as the time off surely allowed him to get healthier. This is especially important when you take into account that Jacksonville is making a strong playoff push to end the season.

Meanwhile, the Jets are dealing with several key injuries. Quarterback Tyrod Taylor hurt his groin last week and sat out Wednesday's practice, while Justin Fields remains unavailable while he recovers from a knee injury. During their absence, third-stringer Brady Cook got the lion's share of the reps.

On top of that, wide receiver Garrett Wilson remains on Injured Reserve. Zack Rosenblatt of The Athletic reports that his window to return to practice hasn't been opened yet, so there's a chance he won't play in Week 15. This potentially gives the Jacksonville defense a favorable matchup. Anthony Campanile's unit ranks 11th in points allowed, and it's hard to see the Jets lighting up the scoreboard.

Of course, the Jaguars cannot take their guard down. They must get off to a hot start, create takeaways, and score points until things get out of reach for New York. Having Parker Washington back in the mix should most definitely help.
