The Jacksonville Jaguars will be looking to end a seven-game losing skid at EverBank Stadium when they face the Houston Texans in Week 3. The good news is that they have a few things going in their favor to make it happen.

For starters, the Jags lead the NFL in rushing yards, and Houston is vulnerable against the run. On the other hand, the Texans rank 28th in total yards and dead last in points scored, while Jacksonville has logged a league-high six turnovers to start the season.

Moreover, many of the players the Jaguars listed as limited on the Week 3 injury report had no designation for the game. That means that Brian Thomas Jr. will be a full-go despite the fact that he was dealing with a wrist injury. Similarly, cornerback Montaric Brown will be making his regular-season debut after missing a good chunk of training camp and the preseason with a leg injury.

When you add it all up, it's easy to see the Jags beating Houston even though they're just a two-point favorite.

Having said that, the one thing to keep an eye on will be who gets the nod at left guard. Starter Ezra Cleveland was listed as doubtful, while rookie Wyatt Millum, a potential replacement, has been ruled out.

If Cleveland isn't good to go, they can either plug in offseason standout Chuma Edoga at left guard or move right guard Patrick Mekari to the other side. Either way, the Jacksonville offensive line should be in good shape to contain the Texans front four.

The Jaguars' sack rate of 1.4 percent and pressure allowed rate of 18.4 percent are the best marks in the NFL two weeks into the season. On the other hand, the Texans are fourth among defenses in pressure rate this season, so this will be a matchup to keep an eye on.

Ahead of the game, the Jaguars announced that they've promoted tight end Quintin Morris to the active roster via standard elevation. This is the second game in a row that they promote Morris this season.

Clubs can elevate a practice squad player as many as three times per season. After that, they need to sign them to the active roster.
