The Jacksonville Jaguars could watch offensive coordinator Grant Udinski leave for a head-coaching job with either the Cleveland Browns or the Buffalo Bills. They also need to worry about defensive coordinator Anthony Campanile filling a vacancy with the Arizona Cardinals.
Ideally, the Jags would know by now whether Campanile is staying, but the Cards appear to be taking their time to do due diligence in their search after dismissing Jonathan Gannon. The good news is that there's a chance Arizona will go in a different direction, even though he's a strong candidate for the job.
Jaguars DC Anthony Campanile remains on the mix for the Cardinals job
Dianna Russini of The Athletic reports that Raheem Morris, Anthony Campanile, and Mike LaFleur remain in the mix for the opening with the Cardinals.
If Russini's scoop is accurate, Arizona needs to wait until the NFC Championship game concludes to interview LaFleur. And if that's the case, he could be the favorite to fill the vacancy over Morris and Campanile. John Shipley of Sports Illustrated came up with this theory, which isn't that far-fetched.
On the other hand, maybe the Cards like Campanile or Morris but still want to interview LaFleur to ensure they leave no stone unturned. Either way, the Jaguars won't know for a couple of days whether their defensive coordinator will leave.
Aside from the Arizona opening, Campanile interviewed for jobs with the Baltimore Ravens and the Miami Dolphins. However, both teams have already filled their respective vacancies.

The Jaguars will have options if Anthony Campanile joins the Cardinals
If the Jaguars keep Anthony Campanile, they'll be able to build off their amazing 2025. Then again, their defense still has room for improvement. Their pass rush and their secondary left much to be desired in the loss to the Arizona Cardinals, and you could even make the case that both units had a huge role in the outcome of the game.
To address the defensive backfield, the Jags ousted secondary coach Ron Milus and brought in Mathieu Araujo. To bolster their pass rush, the team's brass will probably add reinforcements in either free agency or the draft.
Circling back to Araujo, he would be an in-house candidate to become the defensive coordinator in case Campanile leaves. Both of them were part of the Miami Dolphins coaching staff in 2022 and have similar philosophies. That would make him an ideal heir apparent. On the other hand, taking a flyer on Raheem Morris would make sense as he's a heck of a defensive coach.
The good news is that the Jaguars are one step closer to knowing whether Anthony Campanile will stay. They'll need to be prepared for either outcome.
