The Jacksonville Jaguars will welcome the Indianapolis Colts at EverBank Stadium in Week 8. They'll have a golden opportunity to extend their home-game winning streak against their division rival.

The weather could shake up the game, as it's expected to rain. To ensure the weather isn't an issue, the Jags are preparing accordingly.

The Jaguars are preparing to play the Colts in rainy weather

NFLWeather predicts a 36 percent chance of rain for the Jags' game against the Colts in Week 8. The temperature will be 73 to 74 degrees Fahrenheit throughout the game, with a humidity rate of 87 percent. Not surprisingly, head coach Liam Coen is making sure his team is prepared for the weather.

"It's definitely going to be one of those kind of tough, contested catches, expecting obviously some weather to affect some of that stuff, and we've got to be good in that area," Coen told the local media Wednesday (7:53 mark).

Mia O'Brien of ESPN Radio posted on social media that the Jaguars are taking the weather forecast into account during their Wednesday practice, with the coaching staff soaking footballs in water.

Currently, Jacksonville is a 7.5-point favorite and should still have a favorable matchup in spite of the weather.

Bhayshul Tuten will give the Jaguars an edge vs. the Colts if it rains

It's not a given that it will rain in Week 8, but if it does, the Jaguars should unleash Bhayshul Tuten against an underwhelming Indianapolis defense. Tuten has yet to cross the 100-yard mark this season but hasn't carried the ball at least 20 times thus far. The Colts could also try to lean on Jonathan Taylor, who remains one of the best running backs in the NFL in spite of his team's 2-5 record.

But if it doesn't rain, expect Trevor Lawrence to dial up deep shots looking for Parker Washington, while Josh Cameron, Jakobi Meyers, and tight end Brenton Strange give him three targets to work with in the middle of the field. Simply put, Jacksonville has enough firepower to put points on the scoreboard. The same can't be said about the Colts.

Daniel Jones doesn't have a great arsenal of weapons, but he's most definitely left much to be desired. The only reason Indy hasn't benched him is that there are no better options.

Either way, the weather shouldn't be a factor. The Jaguars should have no trouble extending their home-game winning streak against the Colts to 12.
