After missing the last four games with a hamstring injury, tight end Evan Engram is on track to suit up for the Jacksonville Jaguars when they play the Chicago Bears in Week 6. During his absence, sophomore Brenton Strange has stepped up. Still, having the former Ole Miss Rebel back in the fold would be huge for the Jags.

Granted, Engram is listed as questionable for the game and there's a possibility he'll ultimately sit it out. However, head coach Doug Pederson expressed optimism about his chances of playing in London.

On the other hand, it's not surprising to see that cornerback Tyson Campbell has been ruled out for the game. He landed on Injured Reserve after hurting his hamstring in the opener. He's sat out the past four games but his 21-day window to return has been activated.

Although he's made strides, the Georgia Bulldog isn't a full-go just yet. Still, it's encouraging to see him make strides in his recovery. In fact, Pederson believes he could potentially return for Week 7.

Apart from Engram, linebacker Yasir Abdullah (neck), and wide receiver Gabe Davis (shoulder) also got the questionable tag for the game. Here's the full report.

On the opposite sideline, the Bears have already ruled out defensive lineman Zacch Pickens, safety Jaquan Brisker, and cornerback Terrell Smith. Similarly, cornerback Tyrique Stevenson is doubtful.

On top of that, guard Teven Jenkins is listed as questionable while he recovers from an ankle injury. He was listed as limited earlier this week but was a non-participant Thursday. This may be a sign he either won't play or won't be 100 percent. If so, it could be a prime opportunity for the Jaguars' defensive front to create pressure inside. Defensive lineman Jacob Martin also got the questionable designation.

Evan Engram will give the Jaguars offense a boost vs. the Bears

Expected to bounce back after a late-season collapse in 2023, the Jaguars have instead been underwhelming. On the bright side, they showed signs of life when they beat Indy in Week 5. Their offense, in particular, looked promising, with Trevor Lawrence playing his best game of the season. Add the fact that Evan Engram will be back, and Jacksonville should have no trouble reaching the end zone.

On the other hand, the defense still has a long way to go. Heading into the game, Jacksonville ranks 30th in points allowed and 31st in yards allowed. They'll have their hands full trying to slow down rookie Caleb Williams, who excels against the blitz.

Ultimately, the Jaguars are healthy enough to beat the Bears in Week 2 and start a winning streak. It will be up to them to take advantage of the opportunity.
