The Jacksonville Jaguars could be getting tight end Evan Engram for the Week 6 game against the Chicago Bears. While sophomore Brenton Strange has stepped in his place, it's fair to say that having the veteran back in the fold would give the offense a boost and increase the team's chances of earning their second win of the year.

The Jaguars shared their injury report for Week 6 and Engram was listed as limited. However, head coach Doug Pederson feels confident he'll be available against the Bears barring a setback.

"Well, it's looking good today for practice. You don't want any setbacks," Pederson told the local media Wednesday. "You don't want anything to happen during the week, but we'll limit his volume, ramp him up, give him what he needs, and see how he is at the end of the week. But him being back is definitely a boost for the offense."

Engram has missed the past four games while he recovers from a hamstring injury he suffered during warmups just before their Week 2 matchup against the Cleveland Browns. During his absence, Strange has hauled in 12 receptions for 120 yards with two touchdowns.

Other Jaguars who appear on the injury report are safety Daniel Thomas (hamstring), running back Travis Etienne (shoulder), linebacker Devin Lloyd (knee), cornerback Tyson Campbell (more on him later), defensive back Darnell Savage (quad), linebacker Yasir Abdullah (neck), and wide receiver Gabe Davis (knee). All of them got the limited designation.

On a related note, the Jags announced that they're placing return specialist Devin Duvernay on Injured Reserve, so he'll miss at least four games.

The Jaguars are getting Evan Engram in time for the game vs. the Bears

It's uncertain whether Evan Engram will have a full workload or be on a snap count if he suits up against the Bears. Either way, having him back in the lineup will be a boost for the offense as Pederson points out. Moreover, the Jacksonville Jaguars are relatively healthy and will be getting several contributors back in the upcoming weeks.

Cornerback Tyson Campbell suffered a hamstring injury in the season opener and landed on Injured Reserve before Week 2. The team announced it opened his 21-day window to return, and Pederson says that he could return as soon as Week 7, when the Jags face the New England Patriots.

"We're excited we're in a position to open his window," Pederson told the media when asked about Campbell's return. "It just allows him, the player, to work himself back into practice, right? He's been training and rehabbing, and it's different than football movements, and it's a way for us as coaches, too, to monitor that and keep him in a controlled environment, but excited, looking forward to him getting out there with the guys and see where it goes here the next couple of weeks."

The Jaguars will also be getting other players back in the upcoming weeks. Safety Tashaun Gipson is about to complete a six-game suspension he's served to start the season and could potentially play in Week 7. Similarly, Pederson said that safety Andrew Wingard and Foyesade Oluokun are on track to return.

The Jaguars are currently looking to build off of their win against the Colts and having Evan Engram back in the fold should help them have a chance against the Bears and potentially turn things around.
