5 supreme standouts from Jacksonville Jaguars 2026 training camp Day 2

The Jacksonville Jaguars are putting in the work to be ready for the regular season, and they appear to be trending in the right direction after two practices in training camp. Sure, there have been a few miscues on both sides of the ball, but that's understandable at this point of the program.

Having said that, several players are already off to a strong start to training camp. With this in mind, here are a few risers from Day 1, and below are five standouts who turned heads on the second day.

Parker Washington, Jaguars receiver

Parker Washington was the star of the 2025 offseason, and his strong performance carried into the regular season. The former Penn State Nittany Lion ended up having a banner year, registering 58 receptions for 807 yards with five touchdowns. He's picked up where he left off.

Washington was the highlight of Day 2 of this year's training camp, making several jaw-dropping plays, including a ladder-climbing grab against cornerback Montaric Brown.

While the Jacksonville receiver room is currently in much better shape than it was last year, expect Washington to have an even bigger role next season.

Emmanuel Pregnon, Jaguars offensive lineman

Since James Gladstone became the general manager, the Jags have made an effort to add maulers on the offensive line. Last year, they drafted Wyatt Milum. This year, it was Emmanuel Pregnon. Milum is competing with Patrick Mekari for the starting job at right guard, but Pregnon is also making his presence felt. A gritty offensive lineman, he's got an ideal mix of size and quickness to set the tone in the trenches.

1010 XL posted a clip where you can see Pregnon getting off the line of scrimmage and reaching the second level with ease.

Even if Pregnon doesn't start come Week 1, it will be a matter of time before he joins the starting offensive line if he continues making strides like he did on Day 2 of training camp.

Jourdan Lewis, Jaguars cornerback

Jourdan Lewis hadn't suited up since the end of 2025 because he sustained a foot injury. After undergoing surgery, he spent the offseason tackling his rehab. His work paid off, as the Detroit, Michigan native was back at full strength for the start of training camp.

Leaving aside that Lewis is a prominent locker room voice, he was Jacksonville's best cornerback last season. The former Michigan Wolverine reminded everyone just how good he is on Day 2, registering a pair of pass deflections. On a related note, fellow nickel Jarrian Jones also had two passes defensed, so it's fair to say that the Jaguars have a pretty talented cornerback unit.

Ventrell Miller, Jaguars linebacker

After watching Devin Lloyd leave in free agency, Ventrell Miller will tentatively replace him. However, he'll need to look over his shoulder, as sophomore Branson Combs is lurking behind and could push him for the starting job next to Foyesade Oluokun.

Although Miller gave up a contested completion to rookie CJ Williams on the first day, he picked up Nick Mullens on Day 2. The former Florida Gator will need more days like this if he doesn't want Combs to move ahead of him on the depth chart.

Zach Durfee, Jaguars pass rusher

Josh Hines-Allen may or may not lead the league in sacks, as Calais Campbell suggested, while Travon Walker has looked good in training camp. Then again, you already knew that. What's still uncertain is who will step up as the No. 3 pass rusher behind those two. Zach Durfee is doing his best to earn consideration.

On Day 2 of training camp, the player known as Project X had a would-be sack and a tackle for a loss. Granted, Durfee has a long way to go, but you have to start somewhere, right? And if he can stack up days like this, he should have a favorable chance of earning a big role next season.
