With the preseason inching closer, the Jacksonville Jaguars decided to hold a scrimmage on Day 7 of training camp. This game allowed the coaching staff to see where the team stands and what areas they must work on. On the other hand, several players got a golden opportunity to showcase their skills and boost their stock.
This begs the question, who stood out in the mock game? With this in mind, here are five players who turned heads on Day 7.
These players raised their stock in the Jaguars scrimmage
Zach Durfee, Jaguars defensive end
Although Zach Durfee was somewhat quiet in the offseason program, he's wasted no time turning heads in training camp. His bid for a role in the pass-rush rotation continued in the mock game. The former Washington Huskey routinely brought the heat and even had a would-be sack.
It's time to start buying the hype if you haven't already. Then again, he wasn't the only young defensive end who stood out.
B.J. Green II, Jaguars defensive end
Like Zach Durfee, B.J. Green II has made the most of his opportunities throughout training camp. While he needs to keep stacking up practices, the former Colorado Buffalo appears to be in the front seat for the No. 3 pass-rusher job. His strong outing in the scrimmage should help.
Green had a couple tackles for a loss and also took quarterback Nick Mullens down multiple times. Looking back, maybe James Gladstone knew what he was doing when he opted not to spend big on a veteran pass rusher.

Arik Armstead, Jaguars defensive tackle
Several young Jaguars stood out in the mock game, but one grizzled lion showed that he still has a few roars left in him. Arik Armstead got off to a strong start in 2025, but a hand injury hindered his production down the stretch. The former Oregon Duck proved in the scrimmage that he's back at full strength.

Carter Bradley to Trammell
Arik Armstead in there for the sack
Armstead stymied running back Ameer Abdullah on a run plan and later had a sack on Carter Bradley. With Albert Regis, Ruke Orhorhoro and DaVon Hamilton also in the mix, the interior defensive line may be in better shape than anticipated.
Parker Washington, Jaguars wide receiver
In spite of his contract situation, Parker Washington keeps showing out. In the scrimmage, he reeled in a downfield pass from Trevor Lawrence. That wasn't the only reception the former Penn State Nittany Lion had in the game, though. On top of that, he held return duties.
Ideally, the Jaguars would have already taken care of Washington by now, but he's at least showing that his contract won't be an issue if he hasn't gotten an extension by the regular season.
Anton Harrison, Jaguars offensive tackle
After leaving Day 6 of practice, Anton Harrison was back for the mock game and continued his quest for the left tackle job. He managed to hold off Zach Durfee, who had a strong performance, as mentioned before.
It wasn't long ago that vice president of football operations Tony Boselli dismissed the possibility of Harrison becoming Trevor Lawrence's protector full-time next season. However, he sounds a bit more open in recent days, and days like this may be a reason why.
