For the Jacksonville Jaguars, everything in the 2025 season has led to this. Not only are they in the playoffs but also have a good chance at making a run all the way to the Super Bowl, for the first time in franchise history. It's entirely plausible that, if the Jags beat the Bills, the big game is theirs for the taking.
That said, defeating Buffalo won't necessarily be easy. Josh Allen, in particular, is a huge threat, even if the rest of his team is inconsistent. Accordingly, Jacksonville is being seen as the underdog in this game, despite having a better record, the higher seed, and home-field advantage.
By now, Jaguars fans are well aware of what this kind of disrespect leads to: an absolutely insane performance that obliterates the opposing team and proves that the Jags should be taken seriously.
3 bold playoff predictions for the Jags-Bills wild card game
Jacksonville is headed into Wild Card Weekend with a pretty good injury report, good weather conditions, and — hopefully — a stadium packed full of angry Jaguars fans ready to make life difficult for the Bills. There's a lot riding on this game, but the Jags are primed to take advantage.
Here are three bold playoff predictions.
Cam Little hits a 70-yard field goal (for real this time)
No Jacksonville fan can forget the moment that rookie kicker Cam Little absolutely nailed a record-breaking 70-yard field goal in the preseason. Of course, for that exact reason, it didn't count, but Little came back later in the season and broke the official NFL record with a 68-yard field goal, and that one counted.
Little now holds both the No. 1 and No. 2 spots for longest field goals ever kicked, and that gives the Jaguars a huge advantage against the Bills. There is virtually nowhere on the field too far away that Little can score from, and the Jaguars will almost certainly take advantage of that — giving Little the chance to make that 70-yard field goal for real this time. And considering how he was just snubbed for the All-Pro team, you know he's going to have some extra fire in his belly.

Josh Allen gets wrecked... by Josh Hines-Allen
Josh Hines-Allen was originally known as simply Josh Allen, but he changed his name in 2024 to honor his family. It probably doesn't hurt that it also differentiates him from the Bills' star QB, considering the two have quite a history together.
Hines-Allen has historically caused a lot of problems for Allen, including getting his first career interception in 2021. He's also had a great season, and considering how much Buffalo's offensive line has been struggling lately, Hines-Allen will walk away with at least two sacks and one interception. And we know that Josh Allen is already worried.
Will we see Josh Hines-Allen get to Josh Allen the same way he did in 2021? 👀

Trevor Lawrence throws for three TDs and runs for another
T-Law might have started the season off shaky, but he's on fire now, and there's no denying that. One of the biggest advantages he has is that he's a true dual-threat quarterback; he can make plays with his arm and his legs.
Trevor Lawrence’s ability to dice teams up in the middle of the field has been the key to his breakout season, and will be the key to a Jaguars win on Sunday #DUUUVAL @heykayadams @UpAndAdamsShow @MiaOBrienTV @_John_Shipley pic.twitter.com/1Io394uEQs

Lawrence was just named the AFC Offensive Player of the Month, and since the BYE, his performance each week has gotten stronger and stronger. In Week 15, for example, he threw five passing touchdowns and had 300 passing yards, along with one rushing touchdown and 50 rushing yards.
Yes, the Bills has a fairly legit defense, but Lawrence is on a hot streak that they likely won't be able to shut down. Between Jakobi Meyers and Parker Washington, he's got two receivers that can make the trickiest of catches even under heavy coverage. And if no one gets open, he's proven that he can run for the first down (or a touchdown). Josh Allen will probably have a big game — after all, he's Josh Allen — but T-Law will have a bigger one.
