There is no denying that the Jacksonville Jaguars have been on a hot streak as they rocket towards the playoffs, and a lot of teams are rightfully nervous to face the league's biggest underdog. The Jags are one of the only AFC playoff teams to be truly well-rounded, with strong performances across all three areas of football.

On offense, defense, and special teams, the Jaguars have turned each into a seriously dangerous unit. Their run defense has been known to be lethal but also excels at creating turnovers too. Cam Little, for his part, continues to break records and prove that there's basically no field goal too far for him to kick.

Then there's Trevor Lawrence, the quarterback who started the season off a little shaky, but has since turned into a signal-caller with elite skills. He's playing like a top-10 quarterback, even with a shaky offensive line. Lawrence, Little, and the rest of the Jacksonville team are playing at their absolute best, and the rest of the league is finally taking notice.

Trevor Lawrence and Cam Little just made Jaguars history, the timing couldn't be better

The NFL announced today that Little and Lawrence have both been recognized as AFC Players of the month, on special teams and offense, respectively. The awards are the first time in franchise history that multiple players have won player of the month in the same month.

This is the first time Lawrence has been recognized as player of the month, and it's well-deserved. According to the NFL presser, he completed 105 of 165 attempts, totaling 1,371 passing yards and earning a 113.5 passer rating. He had a league-high 17 touchdowns and is one of two AFC quarterbacks to reach 1,350 passing yards in December and January.

There hasn't been a quarterback to win Offensive Player of the Month for the Jags since Mark Brunell in 1996. He was recently named AFC Player of the Week in Week 15, when he became the only player in NFL history to rack up five passing touchdowns, 300 passing yards, one rushing touchdown, and 50 rushing yards, all in a single game.

Then there's kicker Cam Little, who has been shattering NFL records this season. In Week 9, he kicked a 68-yard field goal against the Las Vegas Raiders, the longest field goal in history, and then stole the No. 2 spot with a 62-yard field goal in Week 18.

And according to ESPN research, the former Arkansas Razorback also became the first player in NFL history to have multiple field goals from 65+ yards. He is also the NFL leader in points scored for the month, with 54. Not only has Little broken records, but he also hasn't missed, scoring on every one of his field goal and extra point attempts.

Considering how many games are decided just by a field goal (or less), that makes Jacksonville very, very dangerous in the postseason... especially considering Little has been good from as far as 70 yards in the preseason. If any teams still aren't taking the Jaguars seriously, they do so at their own risk.
