The Jacksonville Jaguars are back from their BYE and will face off against the Indianapolis Colts in Week 8. Although they're currently a 7.5-point favorite, head coach Liam Coen is making sure the Jags aren't taking their divisional foe lightly despite the fact that they're riding an 11-game winning streak against them at EverBank.

Leaving aside that Jacksonville is preparing to play in the rain, the team practiced in pads Thursday. Based on the comments he made to reporters, Coen was pleased with the effort.

The Jaguars had their best day of practice in a while

LIam Coen met with reporters Friday. He stated that Thursday was the team's best day of practice in a while, noting that the day before was also productive.

"Yesterday was our best football practice we've had in a while, in a long time altogether. The energy, the individual periods, the execution, the competitiveness. It was just a good, sharp, clean practice," Coen told reporters (1:55 mark). "They handled it the right way. I was very pleased with yesterday's practice specifically, and really Wednesday was nice and physical as well, so I've been pleased with the way that they've come out.

Coen continued, "Like Monday of the bonus was good to get out there. It wasn't probably our cleanest and best practice of the season, but the intent was right. Like the guys, we got out there buzzing around, but they handled Wednesday and Thursday, specifically, how you would expect."

Coming off "their best practice in a while," the Jags have no excuse not to beat a hapless Colts team that has lost three in a row and extend their winning streak at the Bank. And with this in mind, here are three bold predictions for Week 8.

3 bold Jaguars predictions vs. the Colts in Week 8

Kaevon Merriweather will register his first career INT vs. the Colts

With Caleb Ransaw done for the year, the Jaguars have leaned on Kaevon Merriweather, who began the season on the practice squad but was signed to the 53-man roster in early October. The former Iowa Hawkeye hasn't started a game for Jacksonville but has gotten ahead of rookie Jalen Huskey on the depth chart.

Before the Colts game, Liam Coen said he needs Merriweather to step up. He'll do precisely that, registering his first career interception.

Montaric Brown will also pick off Daniel Jones

Kaevon Merriweather won't be the only Jaguar who'll register an interception against the Colts. Montaric Brown is back at full strength after missing two games and barely playing in another because of a hamstring injury. His return will give the secondary a much-needed boost.

Brown will probably replace Jarrian Jones as the starter opposite Travis Hunter and will make his presence felt right away by picking off Daniel Jones.

Josh Cameron will score 2 touchdowns for the Jaguars

While Brian Thomas Jr. has struggled this season, Josh Cameron has earned a bigger role on offense as the year progressed. In limited opportunities, he's hauled in eight receptions for 117 yards. After Thomas' benching in Week 6, expect Cameron to see even more playing time.

The rookie out of Baylor will have a breakout game against the Colts, registering seven receptions for 105 yards with a touchdown.

Travis Hunter will also score a receiving touchdown, but Cameron will be the talk of the game because he'll show he's got the talent to become a mainstay of the offense.
