It is more entertaining to see the Jacksonville Jaguars improve their offense. The team is good and only getting better. The biggest reason for this is because of the fact that they have this great offense led by Trevor Lawrence.

The league has trended in that direction over the last ten years or so and the Jaguars have played right into it at the perfect time. They were hot to end the 2022-23 season and they are only getting better. It will be fun to see how they improve but that isn’t the only part of it.

The team did have the 24th-ranked defense in 2022-23 which isn’t great. Yeah, they can win the AFC South as the Indianapolis Colts, Houston Texans, and Tennessee Titans are all trending down and it could be a while before they are trending up.

However, once they enter the playoffs, they will be seeing teams like the Kansas City Chiefs, Cincinnati Bengals, and Buffalo Bills amongst others who are all much more well-rounded. All of those teams have elite quarterbacks like the Jaguars but they can also all play defense.

The Jacksonville Jaguars need to address their defense this off-season.

The Jaguars have some pretty good players on defense but they are far from a finished product. While Lawrence is on a rookie deal and he continues to improve, they should consider spending more money on the defense to try and win now.

Things can move in one direction or another in the NFL so the Jaguars should be trying to win as much as possible. Doing that would require the team to address some of the weaknesses on that side of the ball. They aren’t always the most exciting moves but they are very important.

There are lots of ways to address the defense. There are some really good free agents this year for Jacksonville to consider. In addition to that, they have nine draft picks that they can use to work on defense. As the off-season moves along, it seems like that is going to be their focus.

If you think about it, improving the defense will also improve the offense because it will get them on the field more. If this team plays its cards right, it will be a “Super Bowl or bust” type of season.
