The Jacksonville Jaguars might be able to get DeAndre Hopkins for cheap.

Hopkins might be even cheaper than anyone thought by the time the final deal is made. That is why a future fourth-round pick and a future seventh-round pick might be something that gets the deal done for the Jaguars. Especially if Hopkins really did want to play in Jacksonville.

Getting a receiver like this to join your group as their preferred choice is an opportunity that doesn’t come around very often. If these reports are all true and the price is right, the Jaguars have to consider it. He can do things, even right now, that most receivers in the league can only dream of.

What would Hopkins be bringing to the Jaguars’ offense? Well for one, as mentioned before, he makes Trevor Lawrence right away. You can’t overstate the importance of a receiver like that who can make big plays and be considered “an out” for the quarterback.

He would also help out the other weapons on offense by creating more room for them. Defenses are always going to be extra aware of where he is which makes every other receiver and back on the team more dangerous. That is why you make this trade if you can.

For right now, the Jaguars are getting ready for this playoff game against the Los Angeles Chargers. We might see them pull off the upset but nobody thinks they are ready for the Super Bowl yet (hopefully, we’re wrong). Continuing to improve could help them get there.
