Position No. 4 Jaguars can fix in the 2022 draft: Running back

Going after a running back in the second might seem like a stretch at first glance. Nevertheless, the team moved on from Carlos Hyde, so is the team putting all its chips on Travis Etienne and James Robinson returning to form in 2022? It’s certainly a gamble, but the Jaguars could pick up a solid running back prospect if they so desire.

Breece Hall had a noteworthy combine performance and is working his way up several draft boards. His 4.39 40-yard dash time and 126-inch broad jump helped show off Hall’s physical gifts. He possesses a solid physical frame with some of the nicest bursts you’ll see combined with solid lateral movement. Again, running back might be seen as a reach in the second round, but it’ll depend on how high the Jaguars have the position on their big board.

Position No. 5 Jaguars can fix in the 2022 draft: Safety

Even though the Jaguars added Rayshawn Jenkins and Andre Cisco last year, more is needed from the safety position. As a whole, the secondary allowed a 69.4 completion percentage, the highest in the NFL. Considering how much the Jaguars’ opponents love to attack that part of the defense, drafting a safety in the second round makes sense.

Baalke would likely have a choice between Daxton Hill and Jaquan Brisker. Both of them are versatile free safeties who are excellent athletes and could give the Jaguars’ defense a boost with the speed, burst, and lateral movement they possess.
