Position No. 2 Jaguars can fix in the 2022 draft: Wide receiver

Selecting Johnson or Green in the second round is a plausible scenario, but we also know that Trevor Lawrence needs more weapons. With Laviska Shenault not living up to expectations and DJ Chark likely out of the picture, his spot will need to be filled. The draft will be a cheaper option than signing a high-priced free agent.

Jahan Dotson, Skyy Moore, and Christian Watson are likely to be available, though there’s also an outside chance that Treylon Burks or Chris Olave could fall as well. The flurry of quarterback trades this week could lead to a major shakeup for several players. The Jaguars could walk away with a Day 1 starter at wide receiver. One thing in common with many of these prospects has been their speed and separation, both of which Jacksonville needs.

Position No. 3 Jaguars can fix in the 2022 draft: Edge/D-Line

Here’s the thing: Baalke could still draft Evan Neal first overall. He is the top prospect overall according to many people. However, even if Hutchinson is still the pick, targeting an interior defensive line to help reshape the Jaguars’ unit would be optimal.

Pairing Hutchison with Josh Allen and a prospect such as DeMarvin Leal or perhaps another edge rusher such as Boye Mafe that could help rebuild the pass rush is another route. Let’s not forget, there were only 32 sacks from the defense as a whole, with no one accumulating at least eight sacks.
