No. 2 Jaguars relevant game in 2022 – vs. and @ Indianapolis Colts.

Here’s one that will be meaningful for both the Jaguars and Doug Pederson. Divisional matchups are tough more often than not and the Indianapolis Colts haven’t been able to beat Jacksonville at TIAA Bank Field since 2014. That’s a pretty good streak (bad if you watching from Indy’s point of view) to be proud of.

Last season, the Jags defeated the Colts 26-11 in the season finale. The defense sacked quarterback Carson Wentz a staggering six times and forced two fumbles. On offense, Trevor Lawrence competed for over 70 percent of his pass attempts for two touchdowns and no interceptions. While it’s great that Jacksonville finished last year on a strong note, do you know what would be better? Sweeping Indianapolis in 2022.

Also, Pederson will face his pupil Frank Reich for the second time since he became the head coach of the Indianapolis Colts. Back in 2018, the Eagles beat 20-16 in Week 3. However, there’s a kink that will make this matchup even more meaningful. Carson Wentz is now playing for the Horseshoe team.

Wentz will try to show he’s better off without his former head coach and is now in a better place than the one he was in during the first five years of his NFL career. Meanwhile, Pederson will look to prove he can develop more than just one quarterback and can have success outside Philadelphia.
