Jaguars 2021 NFL Draft: ultimate 7-round mock draft
By Jesse Overby
The Jacksonville Jaguars wait for their turn to pick again.
No. 10 – The Dallas Cowboys select Rashawn Slater, OT, Northwestern.
The Dallas Cowboys have paid Dak Prescott a lot of money, so they need someone to protect him and Rashawn Slater may be the best offensive tackles in the draft.
No. 11 – The New York Giants select DaVonta Smith, WR, Alabama.
The New Giants get one of the top wide receivers in this year’s draft for Daniel Jones and the offense.
No. 12 – The Philadelphia Eagles (trade with Miami via San Francisco) select Patrick Surtain II, CB, Alabama.
The Philadelphia Eagles have several needs on defense that they have to address and getting the best cornerback gets them started.
No. 13 – The Los Angeles Chargers select: Jaycee Horn, CB, South Carolina.
The Los Angeles Chargers need offensive line help but they’re not going to pass up one of the best cornerbacks in the draft.
No. 14 – The Minnesota Vikings select Wyatt Davis, OL, Ohio St.
The Minnesota Vikings are another team with several needs, but they addressed their most pressing ones in free agency. Wyatt Davis fills a need they didn’t get in free agency.
No. 15 – The New England Patriots select Kadarius Toney, WR, Florida.
The New England Patriots addressed all of their most pressing needs in free agency, and they added depth at multiple positions. Now they have the luxury to pick whoever they want…and they want more weapons.
No. 16 – The Arizona Cardinals select Caleb Farley, CB, Virginia Tech.
The Arizona Cardinals have a couple of needs on both offense and defense. They are doing cartwheels that one of the top cornerbacks dropped all the way down to this spot.
No. 17 – Las Vegas selects: Micah Parsons, LB, Penn St.
The Raiders are notorious for going offense early in the draft and since they’ve done that a lot over the last few years, they get to pick the best linebacker in the draft.
No. 18 – Miami selects; Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah, LB, Notre Dame.
The Dolphins address their greatest need with one of the top linebackers. This pick is a good value at this spot.
No. 19 – The Washington Football Team selects Christian Darrisaw, OT, Virginia Tech.
The Washington Football Team picks a left tackle to protect their 37-year old quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick.
