The Jaguars won’t win more than 6 games

It’s unrealistic to expect a major turnaround in year one of the Jacksonville Jaguars’ rebuild. The Jaguars have had a complete overhaul in the coaching department and it could take some time for them to gain chemistry and develop a cohesive game plan.

The Green Bay Packers and Cleveland Browns got lucky with their individual successes under first-year head coach Matt LaFleur (in 2019) and Kevin Stefanski (in 2020), respectively.

The difference between the Jaguars and the Packers and Browns is that Green Bay and Cleveland seemed to have a more stable roster in place at the time of each hire.

Jaguars 2021 home games:

  • Tennessee Titans
  • Indianapolis Colts
  • Houston Texans
  • Buffalo Bills
  • Miami Dolphins
  • Arizona Cardinals
  • San Francisco 49ers
  • Denver Broncos
  • Atlanta Falcons (recently added 17th game)

Jaguars  2021 away games:

  • Tennessee Titans
  • Indianapolis Colts
  • Houston Texans
  • New England Patriots
  • New York Jets
  • Los Angeles Rams
  • Seattle Seahawks
  • Cincinnati Bengals

K’Lavon Chaisson will have 5 sacks

K’Lavon Chaisson didn’t quite live up to his draft expectations in 2020 in terms of production. However, he took a significant step forward in his development towards the latter part of the season. Chaisson only started three games during his rookie season and finished with 19 tackles, one sack, three tackles for loss, and nine quarterback hits.

Last year, Chaisson was forced to play in a defensive scheme that did not fit his skillset. This season, it is expected that the Jaguars move to a multiple defense which will allow them to use more 3-4 looks.

A 3-4 scheme better compliments Chaisson and provides him the opportunity for a big jump in his sophomore year.
