Is Cam Robinson the Jacksonville Jaguars’ franchise left tackle?

Cam Robinson is the biggest decision this front office will make for their free agents this offseason, as left tackle is arguably the second or third most important position in football. The Alabama standout has been the Jaguars’ left tackle since they took him in the second round of 2017’s draft, but is he the long-term answer at the position?

He has shown signs of it, but his inconsistent performance this season is hard to look past. No one knows what he will be looking for in terms of his contract, but players typically want to cash in once they have the opportunity to do so.

If that’s the case and Robinson wants top-tier left tackle money the Jaguars should refrain from re-signing him. The team has a bad history of signing the wrong players in recent years, something that has dug them into a big hole and led to the purge of veterans such as Calais Campbell and A.J. Bouye this past offseason.
