Jacksonville Jaguars: What we have learned this offseason
By David Levin
The Offensive Line Must Gel Quickly
How many times have we heard this? The offensive line might still be the weakest position on the roster, but if you talk to Marrone and Caldwell, it is better than some would think.
The Jacksonville Jaguars made it a point to shake things up a bit when it was announced left tackle Cam Robinson would have some competition from Will Richardson in training camp. I still believe the coaching staff wants Robinson to win this job, but Richardson could have another monster training camp and wrestle the job away from the incumbent.
Richardson is a versatile lineman who can fill in at multiple positions and excel. The Jaguars may need plenty of that in 2020.
Look for Andrew Norwell to have his best season in Jacksonville after the first two left plenty to be desired. Norwell renegotiated his contract this offseason to help ease cap space. Norwell was a big free-agent signing in 2018, who has yet to live up to the hype of a $66.5M contract.
The one thing I am looking forward to is how rookie Ben Bartch is used on the right side. Will he have enough power in his lower body and can he adjust to the NFL and replace A.J. Cann at the starting right guard slot?
