Leonard Fournette

I’ll go on record now and say if the Jacksonville Jaguars do not commit to Leonard Fournette this season or work out a new deal for him in 2021, they are making one of the biggest mistakes in team history.

He ran for 1,152 yards and caught 76 passes in an offense that was fractured without key components (the tight end position). Fournette proved he could be a workhorse-type of back and a dual option in the passing game.

He did not make the Pro Bowl in 2020, but this could be the season, showing the Jaguars front office that if they decide to move on from him, it could cost the organization dearly.

For the first time in his career, Fournette remained healthy and proved he could lead on and off the field. I suspect he will have his best season in Jacksonville in 2020, which makes the front office’s decision even tougher.

Finding a running back in this league isn’t the hardest thing to do. Finding a workhorse runner can be.
