Jacksonville Jaguars: 4 areas of concern heading to training camp
By David Levin
Is this the Year of Myles Jack?
After signing a contract extension last year and having a sub-par 2019 season, will this be the year that Myles Jack finally fulfills his ability to become a Pro Bowl linebacker?
Show much is been made about the fact that he was moved inside to the middle and could not keep up in coverage. The Jacksonville Jaguars signed Joe Schobert from Cleveland in the off-season which moved the former second-round pick back to the outside and his natural position. Jack is known for his speed and ability to run down wide receivers and running back in space.
It’s quite possible that Jaguars could have two linebackers in the Pro Bowl this year. If Jack is doing his job and is selected, it also means Schobert has done his job of sealing the middle. Jaguars haven’t had a linebacker who has been able to play in space like that since Paul Posluszny retired after the 2017 season.
