Jacksonville Jaguars: 4 mistakes this offseason

Shopping Leonard Fournette
Finding a running back in the NFL is one of the easier tasks for any NFL team. The Denver Broncos in New England patriots approve and they can win games in the past with pedestrian running backs on their roster. With the Jacksonville jaguars, moving Leonard Fournette during the NFL draft became a story that didn’t need to happen.
The fourth-year star out of LSU is in the final year of his rookie deal. The Jaguars have no intention of picking up his fifth-year option. The front office hasn’t made any overture about signing him to a long-term deal. Essentially, this is going to be his last year in Jacksonville unless something miraculous happens.
The Jaguars don’t want to be in the same kind of situation as they are with Nagkoue, where they do not get any kind of compensation for their starting running back. Letting him walk in free agency just means he gets a solid contract next season and can pick which team he wants to play for (assuming there is more than one team that attempts to sign him).
For now, as general manager David Caldwell said after the Draft, the Jacksonville Jaguars are moving forward with Fournette as the starter.
This is a story that won’t have a happy ending for the black and teal.
