Pro Bowl Starter

The AFC South could have arguably the best for quarterbacks in a division this season. Looking at all four teams, it may be Gardner Minshew who is the biggest question mark amongst them.

The Houston Texans have Deshaun Watson, who is arguably one of the top five quarterbacks in the league. The Tennessee Titans worked out a deal to keep Ryan Tannehill under center this off-season. He led the team to the AFC title game. The Indianapolis Colts believe they are close to making the playoffs and beyond, and have brought in veteran Philip Rivers from Los Angeles.

And then there is Minshew.

Maybe the boldest prediction for the 2020 season is that this quarterback here in Jacksonville has the best season of all three of his competitors. A lot would have to happen in order for that to take place.

The Jaguars would need to win more than six games. The passing offense needed to be one of the five best in the league. And the next step that we all talk about must be bigger than anticipated. I jokingly said to somebody the other day that it would be something amazing if the face of the Jaguars somehow threw for 30 touchdowns and only 10 receptions.

If that happens there is no doubt he is an MVP candidate, the Jaguars are either in the playoffs or competing for one in December, and “Minshew Mania” is the starter for the AFC in the Pro Bowl.
