The Jacksonville Jaguars should look at these four free agents

Everson Griffen, DE, Minnesota

I have thought for a while that another veteran pass rusher or big end would serve the Jaguars well. Everson Griffen certainly first that description.

Griffen had a base salary of $6.4M last season with the Vikings and could be a nice bargain find for the team. At 32 years old, he might be nothing more than a two-down back for the Jaguars, but he fills a role on the field and in the locker room.

"“Griffen played a large role for the Vikings last season, playing 848 snaps (78% of defensive snaps), and still produced at a solid level, recording eight sacks and 24 quarterback hits,” John Shipley of Sports Illustrated wrote."

I don’t see that kind of production needed from Griffen if he signed with Jacksonville. Josh Allen will now be the main focus of the pass rush and should the team be able to keep Yannick Ngakoue, then the third veteran in the pass rush combination is a perfect role for the 11-year veteran.
