Cam Robinson

I know it’s something that we continually talk about, but the play of the offensive line last season is still an issue this team must address. How Cam Robinson improves in camp will go along way toward determining the starting five in 2020.

There has been some talk recently amongst analysts that Robinson should be moved inside to play guard while the team attempts to find another left tackle either through free agency or the NFL draft. I’m not sure that works well with what the Jaguars are hoping to do next season.

One of the biggest criticisms of Robinson since he has come into the league as a second round pick in 2017 has been his footwork. Defensive lineman have been able to run around him and push him off the block. For him to move inside, he would still need better footwork, but he is not strong from the waist down.

I think the Jaguars will bring players in to compete with him, and potentially replace them in the starting lineup. He ultimately could become a swinger tackle and a solid reserve who provides doubts. Truthfully though, his days as a starter may be numbered.
