Top Offensive Coordinator Candidates for the Jacksonville Jaguars

BYRON LEFTWICH – CURRENT OFFENSIVE COORDINATOR OF THE TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS

Byron Leftwich has been an offensive coordinator for two different teams in two years. While Jameis Winston has had a historically inconsistent year, but the Tampa Bay offense was one of the highest-scoring offenses in the NFL this season. If the Buccaneers had a quarterback who was a bit less of a gunslinger the Buccaneers would have won a lot more games, and the offense would have been much more efficient.

The offense had two receivers that were leading the league in receiving yards until Mike Evans went down with an injury.

Leftwich has ties to the Jaguars, and he could return to Jacksonville and bring a more downfield and up-tempo offense. Once again there may be an opportunity for a coach to move from Offensive Coordinator to Head Coach if the Jaguars struggle at any point during the season. The Jaguars have some good depth at receiver and many of them are very good deep threats. It is also possible that the Jaguars will draft a receiver at some point in this draft.
