Draft Jerry Jeudy with the Ninth Pick

Do I believe the Jaguars need more weapons on the outside? Yes. Do I think it’s a pressing need? Not as much as other areas of this roster. But adding Jerry Jeudy, who some analysts believe is the best wide receiver prospect to come out in the Draft since Julio Jones, would give the Jaguars a decided advantage in the passing game.

DJ Chark, Dede Westbrook and Chris Conley are all veteran wide receivers who run under 4.4 and spread the field with their ability.

Jeudy’s arrival would give the Jaguars one of the best receiving units in the league. It would also make Keelan Cole expendable.

While the Crimson Tide has been known as a solid defensive team and a balanced offense, they have quietly become a wide receiver factory. Remember, Henry Ruggs could also become an option for the Jaguars with their 20th pick or in the second round at No. 42.

Jeudy at No. 9 is a luxury pick with other needs, but he does help Minshew grow with the passing game.
