1. Interior Defensive Line

I jokingly said the other day Marcell Dareus should be the team’s MVP because without him on the field, the interior line gave up 200 yards rushing to five different teams this season. Without the defensive tackle, the Jaguars had major issues with the run game.

The plan should be that Jacksonville looks to add a veteran in free agency and then look to grab at least one defensive tackle in the draft. With three picks in the first 42 selections, Caldwell should be able to get one of the top players at the position.

Javon Kinlaw of South Carolina could be available with the team’s second first-round pick. Marvin Wilson of Florida State should also be a consideration.

The Jaguars have not decided what to do about Calais Campbell’s contract yet, but Dareus for sure will not be back next season. Abry Jones took a step back in 2019 and the Jaguars need more from Taven Bryan in his third season in the league.
