Cornerback – AJ Bouye
With the uncertainty of Jalen Ramsey’s future, AJ Bouye is the number one corner on the Jaguars roster right now. He is tasked with facing off against other team’s top receiver each week. This week he draws Michael Thomas.
With Brees injured, many assumed Thomas would not have his usual production. However, in his last three games, Thomas has 25 catches for 331 yards and three touchdowns. He is one of the most consistent receivers in the league and has proven that he is much more than a product of the Saints system.
Defensive coordinator Todd Wash likes to use a lot of zone defense, but that doesn’t mean Thomas and Bouye will not be facing off against each other often. In this matchup watch for Bouye to limit Thomas to under 50 yards receiving with at least 3 pass breakups.
