Four potential breakout players for the Jaguars
With such a young team, the Jaguars have plenty of potential coming into next year. Who are the four players most likely to have a breakout season?
The Jaguars are a very young team, and many people forget that. There is plenty of potential for breakout players on the team. The offense mostly consists of players who haven’t been in the league very long. The defense has some veterans or young players who are already stars.
Many of the key players on this team are in fact younger players. Players such as Jalen Ramsey, Yannick Ngakoue, Myles Jack, and Leonard Fournette have made names for themselves in the league. This list is disregarding those players, and while certainly, it is possible that they improve this coming season, this list is more focused on players who have yet to make a name for themselves.
It is especially important for the Jaguars to find these breakout players on the offensive end of the football. If the Jaguars have an offense that is consistent then they will be one of the most feared teams in the NFL.

DJ Chark – DJ Chark could be primed for a breakout season this year. Chark is a tall receiver at 6’4″ but has extremely explosive speed as well. He could prove to be a very valuable deep receiver and red-zone target for Nick Foles. The Jaguars took him in the second round last season, and there was a reason for that.
The former LSU standout flew under the radar last season, but a new offensive coordinator and a quarterback who can spread the ball and throw the ball deep Chark could be a big play threat and end the season as one of the leaders in both touchdowns and yards per reception. The potential is there, he needs to just turn the raw ability into results.
Dede Westbrook – Dede Westbrook is explosive, he has no quit and though he has a smaller frame he is one of the fastest players in the NFL. Breakout is a fitting description for him because he has the rare ability to turn a 55-yard slant into a 50-yard touchdown. He can work in any area of the field and get open.
Westbrook could serve a role as a slot receiver, but also as a speed burner on the outside when looking to stretch the field. He is a very versatile player who is surely going to have a fair share of highlights.
Ronnie Harrison – Ronnie Harrison is going to start at safety for one of the best secondaries in the NFL. Being surrounded by talent will rise other players ability and knowledge of the game.
Harrison earned his role as a starter last season and he is looking to push his level of play to new heights next year and establish himself as one of the top young safeties in the NFL. He certainly has the talent.
With good versatility showing the ability to cover, stop the run, and even rush the quarterback, the former third-round pick out of Alabama has the potential to be a breakout star for the Jaguars next year.
Josh Allen – Josh Allen was taken by the Jaguars with the seventh overall pick in this years draft. His potential is through the roof, and some experts believe he was the most talented player in the draft. At this point, it is unknown if the Kentucky star will serve a full-time pass rusher or if he will play as a linebacker as well.
Whatever the Jaguars decide to do Allen is player who has the potential to be a star at multiple positions, which earns him a spot on the top four breakout Jaguars to look for next season.
