The Jacksonville Jaguars start the week off with announcing changes for the 2018 season.

As the new league year continues to inch closer, fans were treated to exciting team news on Monday. The Jacksonville Jaguars released statements covering a range of topics, including uniform changes and ticket information.

The rumors of Jacksonville updating uniforms had been floating around, and we touched on the potential change shortly after the season ended. The team confirmed the news to be true, with the official unveiling coming in April.

The unique two-toned helmets, that have long been a topic of discussion and various opinions will be scrapped for a mono-colored look, most likely headed back to black. As for the uniform itself, not much else is known at the moment except for the fact that teal will return as the prominent color again.

Along with confirming the change of attire, the Jaguars have announced that all the remaining tarps that were covering seats in EverBank Field will be removed:

Jacksonville removed the tarps for the home playoff game against the Buffalo Bills in January after overwhelming ticket demand, and that demand continues into next season. Jaguars president Mark Lamping stated that over 5,000 deposits have been placed from fans looking to secure season tickets for next year.

Despite lazy and ignorant jokes throughout the years about Jaguars fans, the fan base has always been a passionate group, and has supported the team even in the lowest of lows. Now with the team climbing into the ranks of the elite in the league, the enthusiasm has reached new heights, and the energy buzzing within the city can certainly be felt.
