Jacksonville Jaguars vs. New England Patriots: Friday Fact or Fiction for the AFC Championship
By Daniel Lago
FICTION
In his four year career, the longest Blake Bortles has gone without throwing an interception is three games. That happened just a month ago when Bortles had by far the best three game stretch of his entire career, lighting up the Texans, Colts, and Seahawks in early December.
Bortles played well and kept a clean sheet over the last two weeks in wins against the Bills and Steelers… so will he do it again?
Yes.
I think Blake Bortles has shown he’s ready and willing to step up in big moments when the Jaguars need him. This week, he’s probably going to have to take some risks and make some tight window throws, but I expect him to be ready.
Also, the only way I think the Jaguars win is if Bortles plays a clean game…
Next: Jaguars never stopped supporting Bortles
I don’t know what to do here. The Jaguars have proven to be the highest variance team in the NFL this year.
When they are good, they are damn good. Probably the best team in the league.
But when they are bad, man they are really bad.
As an eternal optimist and a believer in Blake freaking Bortles – let’s go to the Super Bowl.
PREDICTION: Jaguars 23 – Patriots 21
