Best Win

Week Five, 30-9 @ Pittsburgh Steelers

With every Jaguars win this season coming by at least 16 points, the choices were plentiful. But the October 8th win at Heinz Field over the Steelers stands above the rest.

For years now, Pittsburgh has proven to be in the upper-echelon of teams in the league, and a constant in the AFC playoffs. The Steelers have won three games in a row and sit at 6-2, again looking like a contender. But on that second Sunday in October, the Jaguars went into Pittsburgh and took the game over, completely dominating the Steelers.

It was the second half when Jacksonville seized control of the contest off of back-to-back pick six’s. The first from Telvin Smith, followed by one from Barry Church, to put the Jaguars up 20-9. After that, the Jaguars never looked back as the defense clamped down, and Leonard Fournette broke a 90-yard touchdown run to put the exclamation point on the victory.

On an afternoon where the defense intercepted Ben Roethlisberger five times, the Jaguars suffocated the Steelers in one of the most impressive wins of the season around the league.
