Forcing turnovers on defense

The Jaguars defense is chock full of star-caliber players, and has played well overall despite the loss in week two. The defense showed out against the Texans in week one, and frankly ran out of gas against the Titans last week.

A performance resembling the effort put together in week one would go a long way towards a victory on Sunday. The Jaguars feasted on the Houston Texans offense, and scored a defensive touchdown. Jacksonville will look to apply that amount of constant pressure on Joe Flacco and the Ravens offense, which should lead to opportunities for turnovers.

The Baltimore offense isn’t flashy, and Joe Flacco isn’t a mobile threat by any means. With that, look for the defensive line to bring the heat and cause disruption, perhaps causing a strip-fumble or two.

If it’s not the defensive line that forces a turnover, look for the Jaguars cornerback tandem of Jalen Ramsey and A.J. Bouye to do everything they can to get their hands on the football. Both players are itching to reel in their first interception of the season.

In a game the Jaguars desperately need, and a game where defense should shine on both sides, a turnover forced by the Jacksonville defense could be the play that wins the game.
