Jacksonville Jaguars vs. Houston Texans: Keep Your Enemies Close – 5 Questions with Toro Times
By Daniel Lago
5. What’s your prediction for the game?
"Like you I think this will be a blowout for the Texans. Bortles has nightmares about the Texans and there’s no doubt he will throw at least two picks in this game. With the Texans running the ball really well and the Jags struggling to defend the run, that will also favor the Texans. Barring a complete meltdown, this should be a romp. Texans 31, Jaguars 13"
My take:
Can’t argue with this conclusion. There’s really nothing to indicate the Jaguars will be able to hold their own this Sunday against a scrappy Texans unit that takes advantage of other team’s mistakes. Blake Bortles is prone to making mistakes and the rest of the team has no reason to be motivated for this matchup other than personal pride.
Also, Bill O’Brien has consistently coached circles around Gus Bradley. To the point where the simplicity and predictability of their scheme was a national punchline after their embarrassing week 17 blowout to end the season in 2015. Yeah, this game could get ugly.
