Jacksonville Jaguars vs. Green Bay Packers: Keep Your Enemies Close – 5 Questions with Lombardi Ave
By Daniel Lago
5. What’s your prediction for the game?
"Mike McCarthy doesn’t have the best track record for week one. On top of that, Green Bay usually fails to play their best in the hot and humid climate of Florida. Jacksonville and Green Bay both have big expectations going into the season. I think it will be a great start to the season and a good test for both teams. Many are favoring the Packers in all 16 regular season games. I have to agree with them for week one at least. Packers 31 – Jaguars 24"
My take:
Josh lists a few reasons why the Packers might lose, and then still picks them. I can’t fault him considering what the Jaguars have done in recent years. There’s absolutely no reason for anyone to think the Jaguars will win this game, even if they think the team will be improved. The Jaguars have to show tangible improvement on defense to warrant consideration in a game against one of the better teams in the league.
