2. Andre Branch

Andre Branch was drafted by the Jaguars with the 38th pick in the 2012 draft, but he has never never took the next step for Jacksonville. In his four years with the team he has only tallied 14 sacks which is very disappointing for a player who is supposed to be one of the premier pass rushers on the team. Also, a lot of his sacks have came in late game situations when the game was already out of hand. Granted, he did make some impact plays for the Jaguars this season including a fumble recovery for a touchdown and a game ending sack against the Titans but I still think he can be replaced.

The return of Dante Fowler Jr. should play a big role in this decision and he would most likely be taking a lot of Branch’s snaps. Ryan Davis is another player that could get playing time over Branch. In the last two seasons he has registered 10 sacks with less snaps than Branch. Granted, Ryan Davis is a restricted free agent but that means the Jaguars will have the chance to match any deal that a team offers him. I personally don’t think Andre Branch will want to spend his fifth season with the Jaguars in a backup role so I fully expect David Caldwell and the Jaguars coaching staff to let him walk this offseason.
