Most people, myself included, tried to bench Zane Beadles mere seconds after the Jaguars took A.J. Cann in the third round of the 2015 NFL Draft. Luckily for Beadles, Cann has come along very slowly and isn’t ready to start yet, but that doesn’t mean the heat is off the veteran guard.

Beadles struggled this preseason and is clearly the worst starter along the offensive line. By the end of the preseason, Tony Boselli was intimating on Jaguars Monday that Tyler Shatley would be a better option at guard than Zane Beadles:

"“I would have a short hook on Zane Beadles.” – Tony Boselli on Zane Beadles starting at left guard"

Beadles should get a break this game as it doesn’t appear Star Lotulelei will play, but he needs to do a better job. The Jaguars didn’t have options behind Beadles last year, but that’s not the case in 2015. With Luke Bowanko now being cross trained at basically every spot, there are 3 viable alternatives to Beadles if he struggles.
