2) Can Paul Posluszny stay healthy?
Paul Posluszny found himself injured in week seven of the 2014 NFL season. It was the first win of the season for the Jags and the it came against a Cleveland Browns team that was pretty hot (as a Browns team goes) at that point. Posluszny finished the series and thought he would be ready after that week but found himself on IR with a torn pectoral.
Now fully recovered and entering his ninth season in the NFL, is health going to be an issue for the stud linebacker? In his own words:
"I’ve been training completely normal. I’m at that point now in the rehab process that it’s just lift and run as normal, which has been great. I don’t see why I’m going to have any limitations when we start up."
He sounds back to 100% and that’s a good thing. At age 30 is it possible he’ll find himself injured on the field once again?
Honestly, I think it’s tough to predict such a thing in the NFL and at this point in Poz’s stellar career, you’ve got to look at all the 14, 15, and 16 game seasons and think that maybe there will be a toll adding up. That said, I don’t know of a grittier football player than Posluszny in the NFL and if he can find his way to the football field, you bet he’ll strap on his helmet and get out there to play.
I’m hoping for another 14+ games from Poz and every snap he has on the field is invaluable to the Jaguars as he captains the defense. Hopefully we’ll see him out there for a complete season.
Next: Will his tackling slow down?
