Jacksonville Jaguars Have Plenty of Options in 2nd Round Mock Drafts
By Daniel Lago
The Jacksonville Jaguars have a bevy of options at their disposal heading into the second day of the 2015 NFL Draft, and they still have plenty of needs to fill as well. They went ahead and took care of the need for an elite edge rusher by selecting Dante Fowler Jr. 3rd overall, but the Jaguars could still add more depth along the defensive line. After passing on Amari Cooper at the top of the first, they might also be looking at a wide receiver to help out Blake Bortles. Or they could be eyeing a running back to carry the load in the backfield. They could use some youth at linebacker as well, and they certainly need to find an upgrade at free safety.
As you can see, there are numerous directions the Jaguars could take with the 4th pick of the second round, and that fact is further solidified if you look around at some of the quick mock drafts posted after the first round. In the small collection below, every draft analyst chose a different player for the Jaguars in the second round, and there’s a decent chance all of them will be wrong. Here’s some of the players being brought up for that 36th pick:
"36. Jacksonville Jaguars — Eric Rowe, CB, UtahRowe will likely remind Gus Bradley of his former pupils in Seattle, where he served as defensive coordinator."
"36. Jacksonville Jaguars — Pittsburgh T T.J. Clemmings: The Jags surrendered a league-high 71 sacks last year, and rookie Blake Bortles was taken down 55 times, more than any other quarterback in 2014. Clemmings needs polish but has a high ceiling"

"36. Jaguars: WR Dorial Green-Beckham, Oklahoma."
"Jacksonville Jaguars: T.J. Yeldon, RB, AlabamaCharlie Campbell reported today in the NFL Draft Rumor Mill that the Jaguars really like T.J. Yeldon. That makes sense, as he would be a big upgrade over predicted bust signing Toby Gerhart."
"4. DONOVAN SMITHOffensive Tackle, Penn StateThe Jaguars continue their meat and potatoes draft with the addition of Donovan Smith here. They got Dante Fowler Jr. in round one, and Smith would help fortify the offensive line."
"36. JAELEN STRONGWide Receiver, Arizona StateBig wide receiver with good lower body explosion, deceptive speed and great concentration during the catch."
