As we can see, there are still plenty of quality players left available from Mayock’s top 100. Only a few teams reached beyond the top 40, believing they were getting the guy they want or need to help their football teams. That’s fine because when the second round starts tonight those teams may not have a chance at drafting those players again. They got who they wanted and they made sure they were happy with their picks.

The people still available at the top of the list, like Randy Gregory and La’el Collins, have some concerns off the field so it isn’t shocking to see them available at the top of the second still. I expect Gregory to find a new home tonight. Collins will be the more interesting slide to watch as the second and third rounds progress, especially since his status with the investigation in Baton Rouge is up in the air. He wanted to withdraw and go to the supplemental draft this year, but the commissioner made him stay put in the regular 2015 NFL Draft.

Other guys to watch at the top of round two are Eli Harold, Landon Collins, and Eric Kendricks on the defensive side of the ball. The latter two I thought would go in the first round but they ended up sitting. Harold is a borderline round 1/2 talent and he should go early tonight. On the offensive side, watch for Dorial Green-Beckham, Jaelen Strong, and Jake Fisher to draw early attention. There are other players who will get looks and deserve them, but those are just a few to highlight.

Still plenty of talent left on the board. It’s going to be exciting to see what happens tonight!
