The Jaguars may look for edge rushers with pick 24
The Jacksonville Jaguars are a good team looking for a few upgrades all over the field. The defense is something that they might be looking to improve the most as it was ranked 24th last year. There are plenty of ways to do so.
A lot of reports are out there that they aren’t going to be spending too much money on free agents as they have to retain some of their own players this year. As a result, they might be more into making trades or executing in the 2023 NFL Draft.
Their first-round pick is the 24th selection so they have to do their homework in order to nail that one. A lot of different avenues can be taken in order to find the right player.
An edge rusher might be a great idea for them and there are some good ones for them to think about around that spot of the draft.
The Jacksonville Jaguars have a lot of options to consider in this draft.
If Myles Murphy is available at pick 24, he might be the guy. Out of Clemson, he looks like someone that might be able to make an immediate impact in the National Football League.
If not, there are some other ones to look at. Andre Carter II (Army), Nolan Smith (Georgia), and Will McDonald IV (Iowa State) are some of the other really good options that will be considered right around 24. All of them should be gone in the first round. If not, it will be early on day two.
With the way the Jaguars’ offense was in 2022-23, it is fair to think that the defense getting a lot better will take them from a playoff contender to a Super Bowl contender which is amazing to think about for Jags fans.
An elite pass rusher is the second most important position on a football team behind a quarterback. Well, the Jaguars have the quarterback. Getting that elite pass rusher would take this team to the next level.
There is no guarantee that any player drafted with the 24th pick will be that elite guy but there is a chance. That might be a risk worth taking for the Jaguars who need to make some big moves here this off-season.
